What is avana 200 mg?

Avana 200 mg is an oral drug used in male patients with confirmed diagnosis of erectile deficit. The drug is taken on demand, prior to sexual activity, with its action providing symptomatic recovery for the period of time that lasts between 4 and 5 hours.

Avana 200 mg has avanafil citrate as its basic active component. Avanafil, which has been on the market for a few years (having been approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in 2012), is very fast in the action that occurs within 15-30 minutes of taking it and has a duration of 4-5 hours and perhaps fewer side effects.

How does Avana work?

Avana pills 200mg contain avanafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, that is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in male. During sexual stimulation nitric oxide is released in the erectile tissue of the penis which activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase. This enzyme increases levels of a chemical called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes the blood vessels in the penis and allows blood to fill the spongy erectile tissues to cause an erection. Another enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) breaks down cGMP preventing blood flow into the penis, which causes loss of an erection. Avanafil in Avana tablets 200mg acts on the erectile tissue of the penis to inhibit the action of PDE5 and increase blood flow to cause an erection. 

How to take?

Avanafil comes in the form of a tablet and takes it by mouth.

Generally, generic avanafil is usually taken with or without food as needed.

You should not take avana 200 mg more than once in 24 hours. Take it 30 minutes ago before starting sexual activity. If you want an extra dose, you must communicate with your doctor.

Take avanafil precisely as directed. The suggested dose of avanafil 200 mg tablet, with an interval of at least two days between doses.

Warning:

have abnormally high or low blood pressure.have an eye disease like non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which causes loss of vision, or if you have retinitis pigmentosa

have conditions which may predispose to priapism (erections lasting 4 hours or more) such as anatomical deformation of the penis, sickle cell anaemia, multiple myeloma or leukaemiadrink large amounts of alcohol or grapefruit juice

are taking medication that may interact with Avana or may increase your risk for side-effects, antibiotics like erythromycin and rifampicin, verapamil or diltiazem (for high blood pressure), ritonavir or saquinavir for HIV, antifungals like itraconazole or ketaconazole, non-selective alpha-blockers like doxazosin for high blood pressure, tamsulosin and prazosin for enlarged prostate, nitrates such as glyceryl trinitrate for angina and other heart conditions.

Missed dose

Overdose

Storage:

Store Avana at 77 degree F (25 degrees C). Keep away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Avana out of the reach of kids and away from pets.
